Spoiled with a Tealicious brunch from de Tea Bar

I rarely drink coffee, but tea is a whole other story. Yes I drink loads of it, the BF has even given me a stop on buying new teas. Iaaaiiks…but that doesn’t stop me hehehehe. I am always fan of tea and whenever I get the chance to try something new I just go for it. The tea from “de Tea Bar” I first tasted at the Yoghurt Barn. I even bought some there, but I can’t remember which one anymore. But no worries, I now have lots and lots of flavors I want to talk about as I attended a brunch yesterday organized by de Tea Bar at Blue Amsterdam in Amsterdam. They were introducing their 5 newest flavors for summer and that was celebrated in style and we also toasted on the fact that their webshop has now been revamped.

I arrived at cafe Blue, a really cute cafe located on the 3d floor of the Kalvertoren. I had never been, but man o man what a nice view they have up there. The table was set and it was all so cute: think lots of light colors and flowers. It immediately gave me a happy feeling.
  

We got to experience a little tea tasting where Vincent Zwaan, Tea sommelier,  explained to us the basics of tea, some historical back ground and of course how to make tea to perfection. He even made us taste a classic Japanese tea that had the taste of popcorn. Then Fenje, one of the owners of the tea bar, told us more about their new summer flavors: Bounty Island, Marakesh Mint, Aloe Aloha, Bella Vita and Pink Fizz. We got absolutely lovely dishes to accompany the tea. Each dish was tailored to enhance the flavor of the teas. Really nice! An absolute high was the tea champagne we got..OK not real champagne, but jasmine tea with bubbles, lots of bubbles, me like. These new flavors are perfect to spoil your mom on Mothersday! We got spoiled and got all of the new Summer flavors to taste again at home! I will be back with another post about these new special teas. Thank you de Tea Bar; I loved the tea with a view <3 and it was also nice to get to see Sabine and Monique and meet Teske, Sabine and Tewa.
